I honestly thought Olivia would ride a bike way earlier than the other two. After all she is the third child and don't third children just do things earlier? We kept trying her on a 2 wheeler but she just wasn't quite ready. She was okay with the peddling but struggled with paying attention where she was going. And it is kind of important to be able to steer.
She was determined to learn this summer and begged Jeff to let her try on Ainsley's old bike. He put her on it but neither of us had much faith that it was going to work. But low and behold she was ready and took off riding all over the driveway and up and down the street.
We were all pretty excited for her! The timing was perfect as we went camping the following weekend and she was able to ride all over the campground with the big kids. Her training wheels would have totally slowed her down.
